In Los Angeles, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across California on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Perfetto. Perfectly satisfying. Im full Italian, and make my own pizza. Esco's slices are so satisfying. Their dough, from the flavor, taste, and smell, is so pleasant. I have passed by here many times and did not notice. Please, notice. Try. You will love it. The owner, Esco is very welcoming from the moment you enter. A very positive sign. The slices are so flavorful. They are large slices. And for thr quality, and amazing cost effective price. It definitely has a NY vibe, even from the Indian and Jamaican pastes, which I'll try next time. I could tell how good they were as many came in for pick up amd to enjoy at the couple small tables in the restaurant. A perfect place to chill and enjoy a slice. Or order many of their full size pizzas and other selections. Overall 10/10. Freshness 10/10. Choices 10/10. Portion size 10/10. Flavor 10/10. Cleanliness 10/10. Atmosphere 10/10. Welcoming owner 10/10. Grazie mille, Esco.

Esco’s was absolutely delicious! He is such a friendly guy who converses with you while your order is being made. Real authentic NY style pizza. We ordered a pepperoni pie, mozzarella sticks and wings. Everything was fresh to order and honestly the wait was not that bad. I heard a customer ask about an ox’s tail pizza and he was saying that was usually made during special occasions as he works with another shop who specializes in cooking that. He will be celebrating his 4 years out here in LA on the 21st and 22nd and the ox tail pizza will be available then. Make sure to come out and support. The pizza will not disappoint as well as the mozzarella sticks, we’re so cheesy and had a long cheese pull. Now I usually hate marinara sauce but his marinara sauce was so bomb. We also got an order of wings which we all ended up eating in the car. Looking forward to trying different styles of pizzas.

I'm a born and raised New Yorker (Long Island/Brooklyn) transplanted here in LA. This pizza is the real deal. Tastes exactly how real New York pizza should. Had two cheese slices and of course I folded my slices like a typical New Yorker and had some garlic knots. My son had a three cheese slice. I will be honest and say that the garlic knots had zero taste of garlic. They just tasted like bread dipped in oil, so I don't recommend those as they taste nothing like NY garlic knots or any version of garlic knots whatsoever. No flavor. I asked for more garlic sauce on the side to try to add more garlic flavor but the "garlic oil" that I was given tasted like plain oil with the tiniest hint of garlic. 5 stars for the cheese pizza slices, but removed a star for the tasteless garlic knots.

Esco’s serves slices so big they should come with their own zip code. Truly East Coast-authentic β€” the kind of slice you automatically fold, even if you’re from LA and have no idea why you’re folding it. Perfectly chewy crust, great sauce, generous cheese… it’s the closest thing to grabbing a slice on the corner in New York or New Jersey without having to complain about the subway. If you want a real East Coast pizza pie in LA (and a slice the size of your face), this is the place. The price tag is a bit expensive ($30 per pie) but they deliver.
